I really enjoy this place! I've been here over 5 times and I will continue to go back!! Lunch Bento boxes are amazing!!

This is one of my mom's favorite lunch slots, so I had high expectations. Sadly, I was disappointed. Though the food was good, the restaurant did not have lunch portions of many dishes. I had to order dinner portions of, and pay dinner prices for, basic dishes like shrimp Pad Thai and chicken teriyaki. Both are delicious, but the pad Thai only had 4 shrimp. The lunch bento boxes are a good deal, and the sushi/sashimi were fresh. The service we received was sub par. It took the waitress almost 10 minutes to get our drink order. There was lurks follow up once or did arrived, and we waited nearly 10 minutes after we finished our food to get the check. There was a large party at the restaurant, so we may have received better service on a different day.

We might have picked a bad night to go, but had an awful experience! Walked in about 8 o'clock on a Friday and the place was pretty packed, no hostess was anywhere to be found and a group of 5 were waiting in front of us. After about 30 minutes, the group was set, and no one came to talk to us, I asked a server what the deal was and we were quickly seated. We then waited 30 minutes to place a drink order and after hearing a sob story about how short handed they were we placed our order. After waiting 15 minutes after that for our drinks, we walked out. Too bad because the food looked pretty good!!

The sushi was extraordinary though a bit pricey. The three thai dishes we tried were so-so, nothing special for sure. I would go back for the sushi, especially the Jerry Roll. kallenweb.com They were very attentive as well.

Best restaurant I've been to in Fort Pierce (not that there is much competition, let's be honest). The sushi is tasty and fresh, the service is friendly and fast. If you sit at the sushi bar, they give you a little complimentary snack :) My one gripe so far is that some of the items are overpriced. For example, the miso soup is $3.95. The most I would expect to pay for a cup of miso soup is $2.50. I haven't tried the thai side of the menu, but I will continue to return for the sushi. And very rarely do you find a japanese restaurant with a full bar. What a nice little bonus! Oh and don't forget to order the fried ice cream! It may very well be the same at every Japanese restaurant, but it's just so good!

GO TO THE ASIAN BISTRO ON AVE A. We found this place after the horrible experience here and have now made it our choice place to go. The Food at Asian Bistro is superior. Too bad this was my favorite place for Japanese. Key words "too bad", the food is not as good as it used to be and the manager is having major mood swings due to being pregnant. Nothing against pregnant women but they should not deal with the public if they are going to get......NASTY!!!! Even our Server, who by the way was fantastic, was shocked. If it wasn't for the fact that it was Sunday night and my nephew was hungry we would have all exited the restaurant but he wanted Sushi. He is too young to understand what happened and I was not going to disappoint him. I for one and my family will never step foot inside there again.

Very good selection of Sushi, Japanese, and Thai cuisine. Service is great. Prices are on point with most of the competing restaurants in the area. Parking might be a problem on busy nights, as it was when we dined. But this area of Fort Pierce isn't too bad.

One of my favorite restaurant on the Treasure Coast area. My favorites are the Misco Soup, sushi rolls, Vegetable & Shrimp Tempura & Shrimp Pad Thai. The food is really good everytime we went there. Got excellent service & great atmosphere .

I still think they have the best sushi but the service sucks. We have been in less frequently over the last year because of inconsistent service but Friday night we received no service at all. We were escorted to a back table served water then sat for 15 minutes without anyone coming to serve us. We left. For some reason the owner is the only on that is taking orders. Staff is standing around with their hands in their pockets while customers wait for the owner to show up. The last time we were there we order an appetizer that never arrived. We may go back but I doubt it.

My favorite sushi place in the area. Wahoo salad isn't on their menu but it is the best salad I have EVER had. For those that do not know what wahoo is, it's the best fish I have ever had!!! Cooked or raw, it is just SOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!! This place is adourned with aquariums, and as a fish person, it sets the mood. Service is top notch. Whenever I am "low" on my drink, it gets refilled right away. I've been to every sushi place in this vacinity from Ft Pierce to Vero and I will go to no other sushi place. Volcano lunch special is great! All this talking about sushi, I think it's time to go back for lunch! Well, I am deffinately going back...for lunch today!

Best sushi in Fort Pierce, but I have a love/hate relationship with this place at times. I love the fact that there even is a sushi option in downtown. I hate the fact that you're going to pay around $13 for a sushi roll for lunch. I get the Bento Boxes to get the most bang for my buck. The Tom Yum soup is the BEST when you're sick (a lemongrass broth with Siracha and shrimp does a body good).

This is the BEST sushi Restaurant I have been to in that area. It gets REALLY busy, well we know why? I am never disappointed when I go there. My boyfriend and I go there occasionally and we usually get the same stuff. We get the spicy sunomono, heema roll, pad thai, and some sashimi. They by far have the best padthai I've had. The heema roll is very filling. And the sunomono salad is just grand ! The sweet tangy spicy flavor pairs really great with the cucumber and octopus. I have nothing else to say besides AWESOME!!!

Bangkok has the best sushi in Ft. Pierce hands down. The quality of their ingredients and their display is superior to most sushi bars around this area. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with smiling faces and overwhelmed with aromas of Thai and Japanese cuisine. Miso soup is an absolute must! I swear its the best I have ever had. Recently they have updated their menu and have added quite a bit more sushi rolls to their selection. The wasabi roll is my new favorite, drizzled with a honey wasabi glaze. Their Thai dishes are wonderful as well. The Siam Duck is definitely a winner with its dark ginger sauce and crisp vegetables. Even my friends who unfortunately are not adventurous enough to eat sushi or try the traditional Thai entrees really enjoy Bangkok's Stir-Fried Dishes and chicken fried rice. All in all I highly recommend Bangkok in Downtown to anyone who is in the mood for authentic Japanese and Thai.

Went to use a $50 gift card and the owner said he wouldn't take it because he no longer has the scanner. Terrible excuse to ripoff a former regular customer.

The curries were just OK. The pad Thai on the other hand was bad. Very bland, noodles had an odd consistency. The service was decent though. Fairly fast and attentive staff. Too bad it couldn't make up for the food.

Hmm... ate here 2 years ago and still remembered their bomb fried cheesecake. I ordered 5 slices of fried cheesecake to take home to my family. They place each fried cheesecake slice in it's own container which is good in theory but the containers they used are way too big for that. All 5 slices could've fit in just one of the containers. Needless to say, on the car ride home, they slid around quite a lot and didn't look that great afterwards. They tasted okay... not great like I remembered. Disappointed. Probably won't go back or order from them again. Oh well.

No more liquor license. Wine list not updated. Slow service. But sushi was well worth it!

They really fool you with the glamorous way they present their food. The seaweed that surrounds each roll is hard to chew. Each time I ordered a roll that had shrimp on it, the shrimp skin was still on it. I had to stop giving my patronage due to high menu prices not matching the quality of the food.

This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. Myself and Cassie both got seriously sick within 2-3 hours after eating there. It was no coincidence that we both got sick. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Never do we miss an opportunity to dine in Bangkok Inn Downtown. The food (Thai plus -- but especially the sushi) is extraordinary. However, the incredible friendly staff and especially Ron -- the head sushi chef -- make every experience memorable. On a recent visit, one of our more sophisticated friends visiting from Manhattan raved about the sushi and his shrimp pad thai. Nothing but good things to say!!

I lived in Fort Pierce from 2012-2013 and as a huge sushi fan I frequented Bangkok in Downtown quite a few times. Every single time I visited this place, I was blown away by the flavor of their sashimi. I generally ordered the yellowtail sashimi with a bowl of miso soup as an appetizer. This meal was prepared very beautifully, set up in a colorful display. I took a picture of my meal on several occasions because I couldn't get over how beautiful it looked. Sometimes when I went alone, I would sit at the bar, and the kind chef would give me samples for free. Next time I'm in South Florida I will definitely be stopping by again. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because sometimes the service was a bit scatterbrained, but this was on rare occasions.

Bypassing the freeway food for local fare, Ft Pierce's Bangkok in Downtown delivers really good sushi. My wife and I love finding these special spots. We'll be back!

We were disappointed to discover that half of the Lobster Roll dish was actually chicken tempura. It does not state that anywhere on the menu and when we asked about it, the waitress deflected the question and stated that there was lobster in the actual roll. Although the presentation was beautiful, it turned out to be a sham.

Came in for quick lunch break from the courthouse. Service was friendly and fast. Chicken Red Curry was delicious. Flavorful with the perfect amount of heat to my taste. Enough to run the sinuses a bit but not painful. A great lunch.

My husband took me here for my birthday. It was our first time eating here in the year we have lived here. Finally!!!! I found a good place to eat in Fort Pierce. We had the sushi nachos, tuna roll, and James Bond roll. It was fabulous. It was some of the best sushi I have ever had. Very fresh!!!! I am excited to know that I don't have to drive to PSL for sushi anymore. It is 5 minutes from my doorstop. Yea! Oh yeah I forgot to mention, the presentation of the food was just as fabulous as the food itself! BRAVO!

Food is excellent. Service is terrible. The waitress was rude. We had a party of four and sat down with 2 silverware sets. Two people in our party shared a fork through most of the dinner because the waitress never came back once we asked for it. We had to track down the hostess and she finally brought it to us. Not sure the great food is worth the agrivation of lousy service.

I absolutely love Bangkok! I have never had a problem with the food or service received here. I love the volcano and the rolls! The atmosphere is nice and it is very family friendly. I would recommend it to family and friends.

Okay I have only one negative remark to Bangkok Downtown... Well maybe two. The first and most important is that they lack a consistent level of quality service. I have eaten there at least 30 to 45 times so far this year, and I must say that I have had a level 10 service on a scale of 1-10 just a handful of times, but more often than I wanted to believe, I have had a level 1 or 2 service on the same scale 30 + times. I do believe that they have management issues, but that does not excuse the lack of level of consistent service. I will say this tho, all the staff, chefs etc knows me personally because I eat there so much. And it does disappoint me that I too have been seated and waited over 15 mins just to get a water and another 15 mins to have my drinks served. I as well as, others I have been there with, have walked out, from frustration of the lack of service. One problem that i see is that when the "SnowBirds" come in they tend to take over our restaurants and unfortunately for us they come in abundance,, which is great for the restaurants income, but the restaurants tend to slack in service. What they forget is us "Locals" keep them in business the other 8-9 months out of the year when the "SnowBirds" are gone. I would also not recommend going there on a Tuesday or Thursday night, or any night that the Sunrise Theater is having a show. You will tend to get a lower level of service on those nights as well. The other main negative remark is the "male" host, wow! He is one snobby fella, as well as he is one to blame for seating patrons too quickly and not informing the wait staff that you have been seated. He needs to communicate to the wait staff consistently. He should not seat you until he knows they can be of service with some timely manner. I personally would rather wait in a line out side than being seated, with not drink, no waiter to place and order, and seeing all sorts of delicious food being served all around me. I must say he also has no business manners. I have seen him on more than one occasion gripe out the wait staff right in front of me and other patrons. Now on a more positive note: The food is extremely fresh and has been consistently perfect or even far exceeded my expectations on a few occasions. The head Chef "Jack" always has a friendly warm smile and takes pride in every dish that leaves his bar. I do think that they are a bit pricey on a few rolls as well as a few entrees but the serving sizes are spot on perfect. I recommend the Double Dragon roll with extra wasabi. Get two Thai teas, your gonna need it with the extra wasabi. Besides, the Thai tea they serve is delicious!! One other recommendation, if you can ask for a server, ask for Tanna, she does everything possible to make sure even on a busy night to see that your dining experience is a memorable one. Chef C.

When this place opened it was terrific but lately it has really slipped. There appears to be no consistency in the food. One day the soup is great, the next week it is as if they have an entirely different recipe. Everything is starting to taste pretty much the same. The best thing they make isn't even on the menu! Ask for the crispy wahoo salad. It is still worth eating.
